Couples:Engagement Photoshoot In The El Paso Franklin Mountains
As a photographer, there are moments when your work becomes more than just a job—it transforms into a mission of love and redemption. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to reshoot wedding photos for Sofia and David, whose original photographer had sadly ruined most of their cherished memories (a couple’s worst nightmare). This shoot meant the world to me, as it was a chance to restore their faith in capturing life's most beautiful moments.
Inspired by the ethereal beauty of the desert and the mystical vibes of Stevie Nicks, we set out to create something truly magical. The vast, serene landscape provided a perfect canvas, reflecting the timeless and enchanting quality we aimed to capture in Sofia and David’s new wedding photos. As we planned each shot, I envisioned Stevie Nicks' poetic lyrics and free-spirited style, blending the raw beauty of nature with a touch of bohemian elegance.
Sofia’s flowing lace dress fluttered in the gentle desert breeze, reminiscent of Stevie’s iconic flowing gowns. David, in his relaxed yet sharp attire, complemented her perfectly. We chose a golden hour setting, when the sun kissed the horizon, bathing the desert in a warm, amber glow. This light not only highlighted their love but also created an atmosphere of dreamlike serenity.
Throughout the shoot, I focused on capturing genuine moments of connection—their laughter, tender glances, and the quiet, profound joy they share. The desert’s vastness symbolized their boundless love, while the intricate details of their attire and accessories paid homage to Stevie Nicks’ unique, boho-chic style.
Reshooting Sofia and David’s wedding photos was more than a professional endeavor; it was a deeply personal journey to give them back what they had lost. The end result was a collection of photos that not only met their expectations but also brought tears of joy and gratitude to their eyes. It was a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place: the power to capture and immortalize love in its purest form.

As a wedding photographer, I've had the honor of capturing some truly unique ceremonies, but a recent elopement that I curated and designed. and I also photographed was nothing short of extraordinary, I’ve been really focusing on wanting to capture more of weddings I want to see. On the day of the elopement, the clear New Mexico sky and the sun-bathed tarmac created a picture-perfect setting. The ceremony took place right next to the museum's showstopper—a B-17 bomber. This particular aircraft, with its storied past and majestic presence, provided a breathtaking sanctuary for the couple’s vows.
This view made for a surreal experience. It was a celebration of not just their union, but also their shared love for extraordinary experiences.
The Photo Shoot: Capturing Moments Among Giants
Post-ceremony, we embarked on a photo shoot that was as unique as the setting. The aircraft and artifacts around the museum offered incredible opportunities for dramatic and thematic shots. From intimate portraits inside the cockpit to playful poses under the aircraft's massive wings, each photograph told a part of their love story.
The B-17, with its intricate interiors and imposing structure, served as the perfect centerpiece for this photo session. The play of light and shadow, the gleam of the metal, and the couple’s radiant happiness combined to create stunning visual memories. It felt like stepping back in time, as if the lovers had eloped not just to another place, but another era.
A Day to Remember
As the day drew to a close, with the New Mexico sun setting behind the hangars, the couple departed from their unique venue, and The War Eagles Air Museum had given them a once-in-a-lifetime experience—an elopment that was as much about their personal stories as it was about the stories encapsulated within that space.
Elopements are often seen as simple affairs, but this one was anything but. It was a grand adventure, a homage to history, and a celebration of love, all rolled into one. As they walked away, hand in hand, beneath the outstretched wings of the planes that once soared through skies unknown.

Timeless: A Wedding At Home in El Paso, TX
Capturing the essence of a timeless and effortlessly elegant wedding at home is an art, a delicate blend of nostalgia and novelty. On a serene Saturday, March 19th, my lens was privileged to witness the union of Karla and Abraham within the very walls that cradled Abraham's childhood memories. The sheer magic of this setting, steeped in personal history, was palpable—an addition to the treasury of moments cherished for a lifetime.
In the tapestry of Mexican wedding traditions, the legal formalities often lead the couple stateside before the grand celebration abroad. Despite its intimate scale, Karla and Abraham's union was graced not only by their immediate family but also by the presence of close friends, with one dear soul stepping up as the officiant.
Seeking to weave the ambiance of their home into every frame, we ventured through its corridors and gardens, each corner offering a tableau of Santa Barbara's verdant charm. Nature herself seemed to celebrate, adorning the landscape with pink blossoms and lush greenery, lending a picturesque backdrop to the unfolding vows.
Karla, radiant in her white suit dress, bore a bouquet ensconced in pearls—a nod to the timeless elegance she embodied. Her veil, delicately woven with mesh, whispered of tradition while embracing the modernity of her style.
In each click of the shutter, I endeavored to immortalize not just the visuals but the emotions—the love, the laughter, the quiet moments of reflection. For in these fragments of time, lies the heart of their story—a narrative of love, rooted in the past, yet forever reaching towards the future.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow upon the gathering, I knew that this day, this union, would echo through the halls of memory, a beacon of love and warmth against the passage of time.
Wedding Day: Natalie & Chris in El Paso, TX Franklin Mountains
It all begins with an idea.
One of my most memorable wedding shoots unfolded in the heart of West Texas, home of the Franklin Mountains. The sheer natural beauty of the area lent an unforgettable atmosphere to the entire day. Despite the last-minute arrangements before the couple’s big MX wedding, there was an overwhelming sense of deep, genuine love that filled every space — far from the cheesy kind. It was the kind of love you feel when you enter the room.
Throughout the day, tears were few, but the emotion was palpable. Observing quietly from the sidelines, I was particularly struck by the calm and profound connection between the bride and groom. Surrounded by the day's bustle, they shared quiet moments that spoke volumes about their relationship. This peaceful energy quickly was my favorite part of the whole day.
Natalie, the bride, epitomized elegance and grace. Her attire was impeccable — simple yet delicate accessories paired with a stunning veil she found on Amazon, and a flawless Lulu wedding dress that draped beautifully over her. She embodied the ideal of a radiant bride, her effortless charm both inspiring and enchanting. Natalie's presence not only complemented the majestic surroundings but also infused the event with tranquility and happiness, deeply felt by everyone present.
The day continued to unfold with heartfelt, unique moments that I was honored to capture. From the joyful laughter ringing during the ceremony to the tender exchanges under the vast Texas sky, and even having Shadow (their dog child) in on the couples shoot, every instance highlighted the couple's sincere love and dedication. This wasn't merely a celebration of their union, but a powerful tribute to the enduring, quiet strength of love.
The celebration ended in a private hike to Natalie’s favorite spot in her hometown of El Paso, atop the mountains where the view was as breathtaking as the journey. In a playful twist, she and her new husband climbed in her bridal high-top Chuck Taylors, adding a personal and adventurous finish to their special day.
C & J: A Christmas El Paso, TX Wedding
It all begins with an idea.
A Christmas wedding—now there’s a delightful twist that made my holiday season unexpectedly magical. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Joe and Claudia’s intimate backyard wedding this Christmas. It was a small, cozy affair, perfectly paired with tacos for a festive yet relaxed menu. A perfect way to set the tone before the couple escapes off to Cabo, Mexico to get married on a cruise together.
The day was imbued with a serene atmosphere, punctuated occasionally by the groom's quiet tears. Claudia was the picture of joy, her radiant happiness evident as her smile never once faded throughout the day. This charming, festive wedding not only celebrated their love but also brought a special warmth to an already joyful season. It brought together their two families and their kids on both sides.
I loved the all-white theme and the fact that most of the ceremony and reception were done in the backyard but had to be moved to the garage due to the crazy wind. However, that did not take away from the day's happiness.
